We have had a really exciting and busy final week of term that started with our celebration of Black History Month. On Monday we had a series of fantastic workshops to take part in which included steel pan workshops, djembe drumming and African mask making. To add to the excitement we even had ITV film certain activities that were then shown on their evening programme.

On Thursday it was excellent to see the whole school dressed in yellow to support the Young Minds Charity for World Mental Health Day. Children also carried out activities in class to find out more about how we can keep healthy mentally. Thank you for your support with this event.

It has been fantastic to see Reception children becoming more familiar with their environment over the last few weeks and walking around the school and showing how responsible they can be.

We have had a busy week at New Horizons Children's Academy and children have been working hard on their learning; in particular I have seen some excellent focus from children on their arithmetic agility in maths and also writing this week.
