It has been fantastic to see Reception children becoming more familiar with their environment over the last few weeks and walking around the school and showing how responsible they can be.

We have had a busy week at New Horizons Children's Academy and children have been working hard on their learning; in particular I have seen some excellent focus from children on their arithmetic agility in maths and also writing this week.

This week has been National Coding Week with the theme of 'Artificial Intelligence' and children have been thinking about the use of AI and what it is. In our assembly on Monday we looked at how AI is used, for example driverless cars and facial recognition.

It has been wonderful to see our EYFS children settle in at New Horizons this week for their first week. They have all settled in really well and we are very proud of how quickly they are making new friends and engaging in their learning.
