Year 5 students visit The Victory Academy

Our Year 5 pupils recently enjoyed a visit to local secondary school, The Victory Academy for their Transition Day. The Victory Academy is also a member of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust and they work closely with our staff and children at New Horizons Children's Academy.

On Friday 2nd February, our pupils enjoyed taster sessions with The Victory Academy's Science, English and Languages departments, taking part in a number of fun, Harry Potter themed activities to get an idea of what it will be like to attend secondary school in just over a years time.

Our staff and pupils reflected on the day and commented:

"The pupils have adored their time at Victory today. The day was extremely well planned and each session was so engaging."

"The helpers were really kind and told us lots about the school."

"I felt like a really wizard in the Science lesson."

"This was the best day ever! I can't wait to come to secondary school."

"In English, we got to design our own dragons. It was so fun and we wrote lots!"

Thank you to the amazing staff at The Victory Academy for making our children feel so welcome, they had such an enjoyable time.
