This week our winning class for the most number of children reading each week is Damson

They had 27 children read at home on Wednesday.

Well done to Damson, they win the reading trophy.

We once again were lucky to have Flip Out tickets which were provided by the PTFA.  This week the winning classes were for the most improved number of readers from last week.  The wining classes are: Ash, Elder and Birch.  Well done, you all made a huge improvement on the number of children reading at home this week.

Keep reading, there is another prize next week for the winning class.

Buster’s Book Club is an initiative designed to make reading cool and sets children an individual home reading target depending on their year group. Children are then set a series of challenges throughout the year – these include inter-class and inter-school events, all of which culminate with an annual record attempt. The scheme is proving very effective at involving parents and engaging with pupils, particularly boys.

Prizes for Buster’s Book Club inter-school challenges include a visit by a storyteller, a hamper of books or free entry tickets to Leeds Castle or Silver Blades ice rink.
